Travel Battery Rental - Does this exist?

Hi all. I'm a kind-of Newbie (hosehead since this summer), and I'm doing reasonably okay. I've flown with my setup, but not for any long distances. In February, I'm scheduled for a 13-hour flight, so I'm sure I'll need to sleep. Since this may be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I really don't want to spend the money on a battery, and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions how I might find a battery rental for the 8 days.

I've never seen anyone mention a place where they've rented a battery for their CPAP. If you don't find one, perhaps you could try getting plenty of extra sleep the day before your 13 hour flight and perhaps not have to sleep so much during the flight. Easier said than done, I know, as the day before a trip is usually hectic -- not much opportunity for napping while frantically packing!

Anyway, sitting upright in the plane will minimize OSA if you do drift off to sleep at times during the flight. I'd probably not be very concerned about rounding up a battery to use just for that and the flight back. I'd expect to get caught up on sleep ok after I got there and could use my machine again.

Once-in-a-lifetime trip...sounds like you have a wonderful vacation planned in Feb! Perhaps heading for good old summer temperature weather in Australia or New Zealand?

Thanks for the reply! Actually, I'm being sent to Israel for a week - and I know it SNOWED there last year at that time. My first trip ever to the Middle East, and I'm quite excited! I'm going with a dozen women I know, and I'm very concerned about keeping THEM awake on the plane with my snoring, more than I'm concerned about my sleeping well. Ah - the joys of OSA!
