Mask storage

Is there anything I should do to store my extra masks, I have a full face mask that I will probably only use when my nose is runny/stuffy or I am sick. They are all in the storage bags they came with and in a drawer. I just dont want to go to get one someday and find its not useable.

I have several masks and I am storing them in the packaging they came in. I think if you keep them out of UV light they should stay usable for a good while. I do not know the aging of the silicone just sitting in the boxes at the DME shop. You might ask the manufacturer.
I know that there are even some people who use their masks for a year before changing to new ones. I like to change mine out at 6 months but those are the ones I am using, not the ones I am storing.

Good luck with your mask storage. Clean, dry and dark should be a good plan.

You can call me "anal retentive" if you want. Date the packages - hoses, masks, seals, etc. when they come in so when you go to put the equiptment "in service" you can determine which is the oldest and use it first (yes I date items when they go in service) I take the common sense approach to storage, they're in a rubbermaid box (sealed) in the closet to protect them from light and dirt.
