Total Face Mask
Has anyone out there tried the respironics Total Face Mask? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone using it.
Re: Total Face Mask
I suggest you read the reviews lower down on the page of the mask's description at Cpap.com and see what you think. I personally haven't used it and I don't think many people have, but it doesn't sound promising.
Re: Total Face Mask
I have tried the total face mask. I will say that it is not made for a small face. It only comes in one size and it went from my hairline to th bottom of my chin. I did not ben well around my face and there was no way it was going to seal. The strap that goes around the back of the head is not supported by any vertical straps. It was my opinion that this mask would only work for a very large unconscious person.

Re: Total Face Mask
I can say one thing....its wild looking!
Anyway.......I tried using it in the lab, and there were HUGE complaints of dry eye.and not too mention one size, just doesn't cut it.........
I've had HUGE success using this mask in conjunction with a timed Bipap, treating acute respiratory failure in the ICU and the ER in unresponsive patients (they tend not to complain)...but once they woke up, forget it....
Good luck with it! I'd buy the mask insurance just in case......
