I did best with a nasal mask, which I started with per request by the tech. I developed a severe HA and asked to change to my full face. It was during that latter period I did not have good results. It seemed as they raised my pressure, I experienced more events until the pressure was at 15.Analysis of the sleep architecture revealed that the study extended over 8 hours and 17 minutes, of which the patient spent 6 hours and 15 minutes asleep, producing a low normal sleep efficiency index of 83% of total recording time. latency to Stage N1 sleep was short at 3 minutes and Latency to REM was delayed at 2 hours and 55 minutes. She spent 14% of her sleep in Stage N1, 75% in Stage N2, and 11 % in REM sleep. After sleep onset, there were 50 Stage 1 occurrences, 121 total Stage changes, 31 awakenings, and 2 REM periods scored during the course of the study
Why would I have more events at a higher pressure?
7.5= 4 apneas and 8 hypopneas
10= 5 apneas and 1 hypopnea
12.5= 6 apneas with some upper airway obstruction still noted during REM
Mean duration obstructive apneas was 21 seconds... obstructive hyponeas 28 seconds
Can someone please give me feedback.
They want me to use a nasal mask and I have great difficulty with my sinuses with nasal masks...
