ResScan 3.5: Spikes on my leak chart

Post by StevenJ » Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:24 pm

Starting to get more pretty flat lines (the pap pillow helped a lot) but for some reason I'm getting spikes (up around 20-40 L/min) when I shut off the pump. It's not really a big deal because I know they're not real leaks and are occuring while I'm awake, but still . . . I'm trying to make perty charts! Anybody else seeing this

I get the same spikes. I can tell exactly what time I get up to go to the bathroom during the night (turn off the unit, take off the mask, take a walk, come back. Repeat if needed).

I have also had these spikes show up, but have found that I can usually eliminate them by continuing to breath normally for a little bit after turning off the blower, and then disconnecting the hose and mask from the flow generator. The spikes that used to show up before actually falling asleep were taken care of by having the "settling" set to 30 minutes for myself.

I get them too.
I'll try to remember niteair's trick to make them disappear...by the time I'm ready to disconnect, though, I'm ready to get up NOW!
