Rescan 3.5 Question

Post by rstcso » Sun Nov 09, 2008 10:28 am

On detail report, I understand the scale of everything except "Events". The hypopneas show up as a little blip, but the apneas are shown as red lines on the graph of varying lengths with a number associated with each. I am assuming this is time in seconds of the apnea, but the scale is not shown and the manual does not state this. Have I guessed correctly? Thanks.

Yep, its so easy and logical and obvious that we just don't trust our common sense on this, do we? I had to look it up to be sure too.

One major advantage I see using the detailed data is knowing what's actually happening when you have a reading in AI. The other night I had an AI of 0.5, but I had used it for 7:37. The detailed data shows four apneas of 12, 11, 10 and 17 seconds (mask leakage was zero during these times and they were spread over a couple different periods). Since the unit was used so long, the average was very low, yet interesting to find four apneas and their lengths.

Yes it is, its the red set of numbers on the left hand side of the graph.

Cheers,

Bill

I stand corrected. The scale is shown on the "Events" (0.00-50.00). What is not shown is what the numbers represent.

Yeah, it does. Numbers to the left & how high the hypopnea peak goes in the AHI graph.

The question isn't how high it goes, the question is what does that represent. The assumption was length in seconds, but it's not stated anywhere on the "Events" detail graph or in the clinician's manual. Even though it may sound like it, I'm not trying to be an a$$. I just want to know what the scale represents.

Graph scale is adjustable. TOOLS>OPTIONS>GRAPHS.

Summary Graph Ranges and Detailed Graph Ranges: set the lower and upper limits for the parameters shown in the graphs.

Been playing with adjusting the limits, but that still doesn't specify the limits of what ? Time in seconds?

Thanks lktnky. I'm sticking to my assumption and your verification of it. Thanks.
