Activa Mask

Post by LorrieLake » Wed Sep 10, 2008 12:49 pm

I recently started on a Respironics machine M Series with A Flex and find this mask is now intolerable to use with the up and down pressure. I have used this mask with a straight cpap and the mask was OK.

Anyone else find this happens?

You didn't say what pressure you are using...but I started out with my Activa a year ago on a Respironics Mseries straight cpap for about 6 months, and have used it with Respironics Auto m series for about 6 months. I can tell no difference between the two machines, and have no problems with it. Still my fav. I was prescribed a pressure of 17, still stays at or below 16.

The balloon effect of the Activa is what made me make myself get used to the pressure of a cpap and dump my bipap.

I agree with you, with Apap it seems like it's not giving you enough pressure. I thought it was me. Is that how you feel too. Like really tired in the morning?
