CPAP and leg spasms

Post by socrates1992@yahoo.com » Thu Jul 17, 2008 10:17 am

Since I started to use the CPAP about a week ago, I've had severe leg spasms; mostly right leg behind the knee is achy when I wake up. Should I be concerned? Do other people experience such "side effects"?
Are there any solutions? It doesn't seem to matter how much exercise I get during the day

when i get good therapy I get tingling in the toes,

but pain behind the knee should not be ignored, you should run it by your GP and consider a ABI (ankle brachial index) test as that can also indicate a blood clot. Drink lots of water, consider an aspirin regiment, don't cross your legs.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

How do you know it's good therapy to get tingling in the toes? Hyperventilating can cause tingling of the extremities. Legs and feet not getting enough blood in them can cause tingling too. Abberant vasodilation can cause this as well.
