MyEncore Software - an update

Post by derek » Thu May 26, 2005 10:28 am

I've had a number of enquiries about the general release of the MyEncore software package, so here's the situation:

About 15 people from this forum have acted as Beta testers over the past couple of weeks. The response has been very encouraging, and a number of very good suggestions have been made. As usual in a project of this type, the last 10% of the effort takes about 90% of the time and I've been working on it about 4 hrs/day, trying to make the software as robust as I can, as well as incorporating new ideas and suggestions.

I was all ready to release it this week, when the suggestion was made that I include a chart of Daily Mask Leak (average, 90% and maximum). I had not thought of leaks as an important therapy detail, but it turned out that this is easy to do, so I hope to have that feature added by this evening, and test it over the weekend. Once that is done, I believe we will be ready to roll... My goal is to write a User's Manual, update the web site and have the software available next week some time.

Beta testers: The latest version is 0.1.21, and is available for download. While it does not include the Leak plot, it has all the remaining functionality of the proposed release version. Give it a try... (The version with the Leak plot will be 0.1.3, and will be uploaded as soon as it is ready)

Thanks to everybody who has contributed,
derek

Derek,

Thanks for the update!

For those who have not tried it this add-on to the Encore Pro software is a "must have" It is much more geared to the user and will give you a better look at the very valuable data collected by the REMstar machines.

Sincerely,

Question regarding MyEncore software. I'm about to order the RemStar Auto and I need to know if I need to buy the Encore software and card reader to be able to use Derek's software, or can I just get the card reader and Derek's software? Thanks!

Y in OK,

You need the Encore Pro Software and Card Reader to download and store the data.

So, if I understand you correctly, I will need the Encore pro & card reader to download the data, and also Erik's MyEncore?
Sorry, I'm a little dense today - feel like I did before I started CPAP. Can't wait to get my Auto, so I can see my stats and see what's going on. I've been on CPAP for 4 months, and while I feel somewhat better, I will still have some days that I feel pretty lousy. If, not for this board, I would probably have given up on this whole CPAP therapy. So, a big THANK YOU to all of you.

To use Derek’s MyEncore you will need both a card reader and the EncorePro software. If you do not have the EncorePro software you can not use MyEncore.

Will a person with limited computer ability be able to use Derek's software? I am able to use the card reader and Encore software. Does that mean I should be able to use MyEncore?

You won't have any problem at all if you know how to use Encore Pro already.

OK good people... Version (0.1.3) is uploaded to the Beta site with the "Daily Leak" graphs hopefully working

That's it That's all there is There is no more I'm beat...

We'll let 0.1.3 sit under beta test for a few days while I write the User Manual and then let everybody have at it,

Beta testers: do your worst on it!

Unfortunately the Plus has no Smart Card capability, and does not report any therapy details

derek,

I have down loaded the last version and it works great! You have written a very useful program for people wanting to take control of their treatment. The graphs are much better for comparing what is happening nightly. I have made some pressure adjustments to my auto since getting MyEncore and have lowered my AHI from 3.6 to 0.07 most nights. I had not noticed that a pressure adjustment was needed until I studied the graphs provided by MyEncore.

Thank You so much for all the time you have taken to provide the forum with such a great and useful program. You should be very proud of MyEncore.

Gilda

Hi Derek,

Just installed 0.1.31. I've found everything to be working properly and nothing is lacking. Again, you are a genius!!!!!!!

Who knew, as I used to try to decipher what little relevant data I could glean from EncorePro, that one day I would have your creation at my fingertips. Absolutely extraordinary!!

This is a great thing you've done, Derek. The ability to actually see with utmost clarity everything we've always wanted to know, to be able to make comparisons, to be able to spot trends based on self-titration experiments; its all phenomenal!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
