I don't blame you for being scared, I would be too. It's so hard to have a sick child. I believe you should contact your child's doctor to discuss any worries you have about your son's OSA and its effect on his heart condition.
It would be wrong of anyone without that medical background to advise you about your son's heart rate dropping at night.
You didn't mention if your little boy also has Downs Syndrome, which I know is very common in kids with CAVC. (My old neighbor's son was also born with CAVC and Down's Syndrome.) If so, there are many websites available with support groups for parents of these beautiful children!
Otherwise, there are some congenital heart defect support groups.
