Hi All,
I have a ResMed Auto Vantage machine. I went to the sleep doc's yesterday and he used my card to change my auto settings to CPAP settings. When I got home and downloaded the info, I checked the settings to make sure they'd changed it right, and I noticed for the Mask setting, it no longer said Swift, but "Standard mask". I changed it back to swift, but was wondering if that would make any difference? I know someone mentioned in another post that by setting it to "standard", the leaks might be easier to interpret, and I wasn't sure exactly what was meant by that. Thanks.
Question about settings

I would guess that "standard" is a default the Dr uses because he or she doesn't know what mask you are using or if you change masks every so often. If you are using is a swift, why not use the "swift" mask setting? My understanding is that the machine has the leak/pressure data for the mask stored in it and makes its leak calculations based on that. Why add one more level of uncertainty to the process by using the standard mask setting?
Good Luck
Good Luck
