Comfort Curve Nasal Mask

Post by Treesap » Sun Oct 21, 2007 8:39 pm

Has anyone tried this mask? https://www.cpap.com/productpage.php?PNum=1842&PAID=209

I look at it and think it might be another option for me to try. I'd like to hear from anyone who has used it.

If anyone has one I could try, that would be wonderful! I'll put a request out on the appropriate thread for that.

Was a leaky disaster for me. Works well for some people. Those extremes are true of any mask, of course.

While you're waiting for others' opinions, here's a bunch of pro/con discussions, as well as some tweaks for the Comfort Curve mask:

You can go to cpap.com and read reviews about it, I bought it and only wore it for 2 hours as it was way to big for my face, i'm very short with a small face other wise I think it would have worked well for me.. I wish they would make these things/headgear and such in sm.,med, & large. If you are interested in still buying one, I have it for sale at cpapauction.com, I think I already have 1 bid on it and I also have 2 other nasal masks listed as well, click on masks then scroll down and click on "other popular" , why don't you stop by and look at it. My Seller name is the same at the auction as it is here SleepyNoMore. I have the ComfortCurve, the nasal aire11, and the Comfort Lite 2 this one would of been my favorite one out of all 3 but like I said, I have a very small face & head and the headgear on the comfort lite 11 was almost sitting on my eyelids it is so lightweight , you hardly even know it's on your head. All 3 masks weren't used over the 2 hour mark and I just recieved the Nasal Aire 11 and the ComfortLite 2 last week from cpap.com and The Comfort Curve, i've had for around 3 wks to a month also got it from cpap.com. Goodluck on finding the best mask for you, I have my (hybrid FF mask) on it's way to me from cpap.com and this makes my 5th. mask I have tried since i've been on cpap therapy and I think that has been about 3 months now, I just take them off and put my Swift 11 back on.

I am using this mask for 2 years. Great mask!!! 3 weeks ago, I bought the OptiLife with the return insurance. I got only leaks. I will return the OptiLife and stay with my ComfortCurve.

I recently wrote a review of this mask. It might be helpful to you.

Just this past weekend I wrote a guide for finding a mask.

How does it work?

Post by curvesarein » Tue Oct 23, 2007 1:01 pm

I also am interested in how this works. I live in AZ also by the way. I am a side sleeper, full face, cheeks, and large head. Does it leak on someone with these features? Does it leave marks on the face? I hate straps with marks on the face. I am used to the Breeze with Nasal pillows and just bought a Breeze with Dreamseal mask to try and use as back up. I have been very happy with the Breeze. It used to break around the 7 month point , but they have imroved it a lot and it lasts longer. I found one on CPap auctions today, good price. With the nasal pillows nothing touches your face except the nasal pillows fit inside the nares. I found this one more comfortable by far than the masks that strap to the face. You don't have to readjust every night with those velcro straps. I hated that.
Hope this helps if you are thinking about something else.
Let me know if you find some useful info on the other one.

Linda, I happily used the Breeze with nasal pillows for over a year. Loved it. Then I found one I love even more...Aeiomed's "Headrest" mask (previous called the "Aura" and the "Twilight NP".)

If you like the Breeze, I bet you'd like the "Headrest". One of the designers of the Breeze is the guy who designed the Headrest mask.

Just like with the Breeze, don't let the pictures of the Headrest fool you into thinking it's something heavy or cumbersome. Very light weight. Comes with two sizes of nasal pillows -- medium and large.
