Changing doctors.

Post by oceanpearl » Fri Oct 05, 2007 3:22 pm

Catch 22. Can't sleep more than 3 hrs without Ambien. Call for a refill and nurse says 1 month only and then no refills until I see doctor. This was 10 days ago. Call doctors office every day and try to set appointment and am told the new appointment's past October are not being set up. She finally calls me back and gives me an apointment for Nov 12. This means that for 2 weeks I survive on 3 hrs sleep a night. None of the herbals work for me.

Talked to my internist, he says if you are not comfortable with doctor that you should change.
Called Eastern Virginia Medicl Schools sleep clinic and have an appoint with their chief (also professor at EVMS) on Nov 1 . Receptionist asked if I am interested in participating in some studies. Sure as heck am!!!
I just want to go back to sleep!

Oooh, oooh! Sleep studies? Sleep clinical trials?? Neat! Good luck! And good luck getting some sleep. Altho even 01 Nov seems a long way away it sure beats 12 Nov w/the local who obviously could give a rat's rear about your therapy. (Altho maybe it is the desk dragon's fault moreso than the doctor's).
