Historically, I'm just not a headache person. Bugs the heck out of my wife because she is (migraines, optical migraines, sinus, you name it). Not me.
Until the last week or so. I think tonight is my 29th night (the reminder to call the DME popped up today) and I didn't notice any headaches at first. Lately, though, I've been getting them just about every evening. I can't find another excuse (dehydration, allergies, etc), so I assume it's the CPAP.
Ironically, I'm really starting to feel better and more awake, so it's not like I'm about to go off the hose ...
Anyone else get headaches after they started?
Headaches
When I see a post about having headaches, the first thing I think of, here's someone that uses a nasal interface, and he's not been warned about mouthbreathing.
So here's the warning,"If you use a Nasal interface, take steps to make sure you don't mouthbreath". If you do "Mouthbreath" your treatment pressure goes out your mouth and you lose your treatment.
Taping or a good fitting FF Mask can correct mouthbreathing. Jim

Your Elite is data capable ... have you checked your leak rate? That is what Jim is referring to. Air pressure may be lost when your yap flies open while you are asleep and not paying attention.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
Yeah, problems with keeping my mouth shut. Ask my former grade-school teachers ... actually high school and college, too ... or even some coworkers. Oh, and Mr Jared, the High School principal.DreamStalker wrote:Your Elite is data capable ... have you checked your leak rate? That is what Jim is referring to. Oh, you mean at night! Yes, I have a chin strap and am looking at getting a different one. Wife also reports "bubbling" from the general mouthal area but only a few times and not every night.
Interestingly, the S8 shows 0.0 L/min leakage (I think it's L/min, not L/s). AHI numbers are a little uneven, anywhere from 6 to about 11, but I'm barely a month into this thing, so I'm not worried about that.
The headaches, as I mentioned, are in the evening, not the morning as I would have expected.
I guess I need to keep a time/intensity journal.
