I'm ready to quit and go back to lumpy teeshirt therapy. Before I do I'd like to try a FF mask. I have a relatively thin face and a slight goatee. Also my Ins. Co only covers 1 mask per 6 months so I'll have to pay for it. Any suggestions as to a good mask to try would be helpful. My only experience has been with the Mirage II

Re: Advice on FF mask
Unfortunately, FF masks have more contact real estate to have to seal with your face ... which means more difficult to find a good fitting mask.snoresnout wrote:I'm ready to quit and go back to lumpy teeshirt therapy. Your question will inspire inconclusive responses in that everyone will suggest the mask that worked for them ... which necessarily does not equate to what will work for you.
Some things to keep in mind when using an FF mask:
If you have naturally oily skin, you may have difficulty in maintaining a good seal (requires frequent washing of both face and mask). It helps to make sure the rear lower strap does not fit over the back of your neck but instead higher up on your skull. You may need to increase humidifier setting as compared to nasal mask.
The Hybrid and Liberty are slightly different than traditional FF masks and the Hybrid offers significant fitting/sizing options (at least it used to?).
Consider shopping on EBay and on this forum for new/used masks if you must maintain frugality.
Hope you find a workable interface and avoid giving up on your treatment ... best wishes!
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
Re: Advice on FF mask
Dream Stalker is absolutely right. I just started testing FF FlexiFit 432 from F&P. It has dented my nose bridge so badly; I cannot even use my current major mask FlexiFit 405. So I am with substitution – Bravo nasal pillows till my nose will heal. And then I’ll try 432 again with different head gear tension.
I think only painful trying and re-trying will lead you(me/us) to an interface you like most.
You can check my signature for all masks I’ve tried. It might give you some ideas.
