Bravo cpap mask
Bravo cpap mask
Has anyone washed their Bravo headgear? My wife spilled coca-cola on my mask and it's now sticky and smells like coke even though I've rinsed it several times. I miss using it. Please help.
No, but I recommend putting the entire headgear assembly into a lingerie bag, and washing it in warm water with plenty of soap in with a regular load of laundry.
It should be fine. I don't think there's anything in there but neoprene and plastic.
Or you might try soaking it in a wash basin full of warm soapy water overnight.
Sounds like a simple water rinse isn't working. Probably you need some soap in there.
Good luck!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

My DME recommends using baby shampoo, so there's another idea.
If you wash it, DON'T put it in the dryer. It will mess up the elastic, etc.

Oh definitely! For one thing, you'll just hate what Velcro does in the dryer...

Thank you, Ladies
What the wife was afraid of was the glue failing, but that didn't happen. We only have one bravo set between us because we both use different masks most of the time. I like to attach my nasalaire prongs onto this headgear for a break from my hybrid if I need it. The prongs are a bit better for my 20c pressure.
Seems the seems are sewn... Let me say that again
Seems the seems are sewn ...along with the glue and it withstood the washer's gentle cycle inside an old stocking. It is now clothes pined in the garage and it should get up to around 100 in there today in the south florida sun and dry nicely

Re: Bravo cpap mask
I have had many masks over the years. The headgear should be washed by hand with mild soap & water and let soak foe about 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. It may also be washed in the washing machine, But I recommend a delicate cycle if you plan on using your headgear for awhile.Anonymous wrote:Has anyone washed their Bravo headgear? For the cleaning of the mask and parts including the hose & Humidifier, I use RespiClean products. You can purchase them on eBay. They have daily & weekly cleaners for making all your respiratory safe and clean. Also check RespiClean FAQ's at respi-products.com.
These cleaners solve all the cleaning problems that come with the use of respiratory equipment.
I hope this information helps.
