Seems lots of folks who get OSA also suffer from anxiety and depression.
May be able to benefit from this approach instead of drugs.
OSA and depression
Re: OSA and depression
I think most of us OSA patients suffered from anxiety and depression before we got treatment. But I wonder how many of us still suffer from anxiety and depression even now on relatively successful treatment?meister wrote: Seems lots of folks who get OSA also suffer from anxiety and depression.
My guess is that for many the brain fog depression experienced before the beginning of treatment changed into something different, a kind of regret depression, regret over time lost. Or this depression turns into a new form, where we loath needing the cpap and the mask, where family members and friends simply do not understand or relate. Anxiety may switch into something new, like dealing with all of this, and dealing with reality again. Still, I wouldn't trade the anxiety and depression I have now for the types of anxiety and depression I experienced before. So much worse then. But sometimes I have to keep reminding myself that I'm lucky.
