sinus infections?

Post by blondegal » Sun Apr 03, 2005 4:07 pm

Hi,
this is my first time on a chat room. I have been on the CPAP a month now. No real problems at first. Twelve days ago I thought I was catching a cold. This was like no other cold I have ever had. After a week, went to my internist. She gave me medicine for a sinus infection. That did not help. Called the doctor that prescribed the CPAP. He said he thought it was from the CPAP and not sinus. I have a full face mask. I am a mouth breather. I can't go through this again. Any suggestions?

If you don't have a heated humidifier, get one. It will really help.

The heated humidifier is a good thing to have. You might also look into getting a chin strap to reduce your mouth breathing.
