CPAPwear Parties

Post by gasp » Wed Jul 04, 2007 5:44 pm

It's Babette's fault - she inspired me. Plus I'm a little loopy from thinking too much about miracle masks - the magic one that will be perfect. No leakage, no condensation, no pressure points, no loud exhaust, . . .

Here's an idea: just like Tupperware home parties, we start a CPAPwear Party franchise.

We all sit around in living rooms across each of our respective countries and anxiously await our turn to get our hands on a mask we haven't tried before. It includes videos, demonstrations, and snacks. Not to speak about multiple purchase discounts.

OK, back to the real world.

I'm getting real close to trying duct taping my mask to my face. I wonder why it has to be so hard to get fitted for a decent mask. Everyone is different and no one mask fits all.

Robbie when I was a newbie I joked around saying "$1,000,000 to the person who designs the PERFECT mask". Hmmm... so far no one close to claiming it!!

That's Rosemary's new line - After the Cpapwear lingerie, she's going into panties. To Ensure No Leakage. (Sorry Rosemary, couldn't resist!)

Hey Gasp, isn't that called Mask Roulette? You sit in your own living room, with your own snacks, and barter/buy masks online?

I should host a Western WA CPAP barbecue sometime this summer. Bring your mask and a side dish...

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Hey, a while back there was a plan to take a CPAPtalk participants cruise...We could do the party there. (Plus, a cruise is longer than one night and worth the 2,000 or so miles to get there! )

Birdshell, are you saying my backyard barbecue is not worth a 2,000 mile road trip in the heat of summer?

LOL,
B.

Then the CPAPwear party is perfect for you - try, try, try, and buy later : ) But, can you make a mean potato salad?

It's because wearing a mask is unnatural! Hopefully at some point in the future they'll find out all they have to do is implant some fancy neuro device and throats don't close and brains tell the body to breath . . . They'll look back at us and be amazed at what we go through to breathe

Depending on when you were a newbie, perhaps with inflation you should up it to 2 mil. Tooling alone could cost 1 mil

Not too far off from pantyhose, which we have seen some on this very forum use when lab ratting masks (am I using the term correctly?).

You have a point there. However, I seem to be doing the mask roulette with my DME. I'll PM and let you know my latest acquisition. It's promising.

Now, as to the BBQ, good idea. We are a looney lot to look forward to looking at masks. When did my life take this turn???? And... I'll bring potato salad if IBTeri doesn't make a mean one. Mine isn't that good - as I found out recently.

Me too! After going through my first 3 weeks on CPAP, I need some humor.

You know the huge zig-zag lineup as people check in to board the ship? Can't you just see us all clutching our CPAP carry ons?

Would you like a new house rule for Mask Roulette?

Each Mask Roulette trade has to include a bag of popcorn, a can of soda and a Depends if you are sending it to some-one over 60?

Can you just imagine a cpap cruise? LMAO... all those Victoria secret nighties and back packs, mouth tape, mask farting, air swallowing followed by real farting... machine tipping. In the middle of the night, everyone get up and switch masks. We could play musical masks... oh dear, I need more sleep lol. Would a cruise ship have enought outlets to handle a cpap cruise?
