Okay, I'm not even a sleep tech and I find that comment offensive. My sleep lab sterilizes its masks and hoses in the same heat sterilizer they use for all the hospital's medical equipment and then seals each one inside plastic that is not removed until it's given to the patient to try. Both times I went to the lab I personally witnessed the tech ripping open the heat-sealed envelopes holding the mask and hoses. I think it's very offensive and wrong of you to imply that reputable sleep labs would be so irresponsible and take their patients' health so lightly.
