Hello,
I bought a Resmed 10 machine without sleep study. Started at pressure 4 to 5, I have been seeing slow improvements in my daily functioning: less headaches, slightly less sleepy.
I now use nose pillows AirFit P10. I still feel like I cannot fit them properly - like the air isn't flowing to my nose, but rather it comes out through the mesh on the mask. It's obviously flowing, but I still would like to be more refreshed after a full nights sleep. I need 9 or more hours. I recently upped the pressure to 6, then 8 and 9, with upper limit of 13. It helped a bit. I tape my mouth and sometimes use nose strips to widen the airway.
I'm posting OSCAR data. What are your suggestions?

Re: help with Adjusting pressure
If you're using the small or medium sized pillows, try moving up a size. That might help with the leaks.

howdy and welcome to the zoo!
see on the graph how your pressure starts at 9 then goes up? and it barely gets back down to 9 again. if you can easily tolerate the pressure, it would behoove you to bump that minimum up to at least 10. then wait a few nights for it to settle in.
I see dogslobber has recommended a bigger nasal pillow. I'm hoping your P10 came with a fitness pack and you can try it.
if not you might want to try some lanolin. it's sold in the babycare section of your drug or grocery store. it's meant for nursing mothers to sooth sore nipples. but a side benefit of the lanolin is that it is slightly sticky and can help prevent leaks.
good luck!

Re: help with Adjusting pressure
It should be flowing out of the mesh, no basic problem with that.zuzijanka wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 1:39 pmI now use nose pillows AirFit P10. A problematic leak is when the air flows out from around you nose, or when it pours out of your mouth.
Is the second image download/file.php?id=19891 with or without mouth tape?
Your mouth should be taped in a way that lets no air out of it.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Re: help with Adjusting pressure
Hey,
thank you for the replies.
I think putting two pieces of tape helped. I also cut them larger (10 cm length). I use medium pillows and can't switch to large, though maybe I'll try again sometime.
Also the tape I feel like I still can exhale through, but it's day and night difference with the bigger pieces!
