Therapy help, recently been extremely tired

Post by gooeybee » Sun Mar 30, 2025 3:27 pm

Hello, my partner has been using her CPAP for more than a year without any issues but in the past couple of months she has been very tired. Her general numbers look ok though and she has to wait another month or so to see her sleep doctor. Wondering if folks see any obvious problems. I only have a few days of data but here are some examples. This is an Airsense 11 autoset w/ full face mask.

Is there any particular reason the machine is set to max IPAP of 11? It is bumping up against the upper limit all night long. Try raising the upper limit. If it were me, I would simply set the upper lii to 20 and see where the machine goes. After a couple nights, you will be able to tell how much pressure she needs. She may only need one or two more CM of pressure, but she does need more pressure.

It is worth remembering that lots and lots of medical problems include "tiredness" as a symptom. When was the last time your partner had a complete physical? Were tests done for her thyroid levels? What about her Vitamin D levels? Those are two of the most obvious things that get looked at when a person is complaining of being tired when there's no obvious cause for the tiredness.

She's having her other levels checked but this is very similar to the tiredness she experienced before she started using a CPAP. She's working with her docs to figure out if its something else but I'm curious if the CPAP looks like it needs any adjustments as well.
