Air Coming from Mask
Air Coming from Mask
Hello all, I'm new to this forum but user of CPAP for over 2 years. I'm using Resmed Airsense 11, started with N20 mask, then changed to F30, then to P10, then to F&P Solo, and finally, currently using F30i. My problem, among other issues that most of CPAP users have, is the amount of air coming out from the small holes in mask. The air pressure could be felt even 24 inches far from the mask when in use. I talked to service provider and they insisted that this is quiet normal but I'm not satisfied. Why there should that much of air comes from those tiny wholes. Decided to join you guys and ask for any comments, advices, and guides. Thanks

Re: Air Coming from Mask
The air coming out of your mask is normal and necessary.
It vents CO2 and you can't just inputting air into a system, it has to come out somewhere.
The some masks do a better job of venting than others, so it's not heard or felt. You just have to try different masks until you find one that fits you and has acceptable diffusion.
