I had a cockroach problem in my apartment when I moved in. One day I discovered a cockroach in the water tank of my AirSense 10 so I freaked out and took the machine apart and made sure that none others had crawled in my machine. I found that was the only one. I wasn't even using my water tank most of the time because I live someplace hot and humid 6-9 months a year.
Anyways, I lost the screws to put it back together, (think someone else threw them out) and I suspect that while it has been disassembled, the heating element under the tank had become detatched from its wiring.
Is anyone with an intact AirSense willing to take off one screw and take it to a hardware store to compare and find out what the screw threads are? I think I remember the screw head being a hex star but those aren't necessary to duplicate.
