My history with full face masks goes back 17 years. Just a few nights ago I began using the ResMed F40 hybrid. It is by far the easiest mask to put on I've had out of 5. It is the lightest and most comfortable out of 4 previous masks like the F10, F20, and Evora Full Face (also a hybrid).
F40 requires less strap pressure to keep a seal. It kept a seal up to 20cm. I guess it is so new it is not on the list here under profile.
I appreciate having a mask that does not go over the entire nose. That has always been irritating and was getting to the point of creating a sore on the top of my nose. The hybrids are a nasal mask that covers the mouth. AirSense is set to Pillows for the F40.
The F40 is like an improved Evora Full Face hybrid. I started the Evora six months ago. It too sealed well and was more comfortable than F10/F20 but I found myself wrestling with the headgear nightly. The over head strap was irritating, I had trouble connecting the straps to the mask, and the mask cushions began losing their seal by week 3 of use.
My AHIs have not improved with either mask but I'm feeling more rested than I have in years after switching to a full face hybrid.
P.S. Is there any way to increase the size of the text here? I changed Normal to Large but the font remains the same size. The text size in the Subject box is good. Can I get this text that size?

Re: ResMed F40 doing very well
Are you talking about the equipment profile list? If so, the F40 is indeed a choice in the menu list....It's under "AirFit F40" so it's under the "A's".
As far as text size....are you visually impaired so that you need larger text?

Yes I am visually impaired.
10/4 AirFit F40 found. I was looking just at those listed beginning with RedMed.

Here's the deal with text size. The person composing the post chooses the text size that they want to use but what you need to do is find a way for all the text everywhere to be larger.
You don't get to choose the text that someone else uses. So if your problem is reading what someone else wrote....using the forum software text editor and larger text isn't going to solve your problem.
Now depending on your computer type there is a way to alter the text size visually and permanently. I use it myself.
It's under "view" of the main browser page. I have FireFox going on my Windows computer and I zoom in to make everything larger and easier to see using the "View" function on my browser. My computer saves it as well so no need to change the view size all the time.

Thanks for the advice Pugsy. I use Safari with Firefox and there it is.."zoom in" under View. Thank you!

F40 update:
A few weeks into F40 use it seems my Large Leak problems may be solved even though I have a beard. I see that one reason this mask seals well and has a higher comfort level is its flexible construction with no hard rigid plastic on the cushion or the cushion bracket.
The short very flexible tube from the mask to the long tube is a big improvement over having the thick stiffer long tube right at the mask. I must move from side to side to sleep. A flip of the thicker long tube (I use the heated tube) from one side of the pillow to the other puts the short tube into a good position.
I have to use humidity at least on level 2 with the F40 to prevent nose bleeds due to the nasal design of this hybrid mask. Perhaps with winter coming my in-house humidity level will rise allowing me to turn humidity off.
I appreciate the minimal headgear of the F40. For the first time in 17 years, I have a mask/headgear I do not struggle to put on. I no longer continuously adjust uncomfortable straps. I do not have to over-tighten the F40 straps to get a seal. I do not have to remove the headgear and reposition it trying to stop irritation.
The F40 airflow passages to the nose are an improvement over the FP Evora FF mask. I no longer get the feeling that the mask is not aligned with my nostrils. I tried mouth taping with each mask with no improvement in AHIs.
It took 17 years but finally, a mask that works much better with my face has arrived. It is misleading to call the F40 a full-face mask. I have only found one mask, the ResMed Fit Life, to cover the face. The F40 is like a nasal mask with mouth-breathing backup.
