Hello

Post by cpapnewbs » Sat Jul 27, 2024 1:54 pm

Hi all, I'm new to the forum! I did a sleep study previously and my events were 68. I've been on an airsense 10 for years and I average around 14-16 events now. I feel like my therapy is not as dialed in as it could be. The doc's office I went to was a nightmare and there aren't many options elsewhere.

Could anyone give me some direction on how to improve my settings from home? I found a video to do that, but didn't want to adjust without asking for feedback in here. I generally feel like my lungs are taxed when I awaken. I also have very dried out nostrils with dried mucous in them daily.

Here are my current setttings:
Max Pressure- 17
Min Pressure- 6.4
Pillows
Response-Standard
Ramp time- 10 mins
Start pressure-4
EPR-On
EPR Type- Full
EPR level-3
Humidity Level-2
Tube-SlimLine

Any experienced users that might be able to make suggestions on these settings?

Also- Is there a way to use the data coming from my airsense 10 with other software than just the phone app?

Thanks in advance for any guidance or other posts that might be directed to me. I read many of them today but didn't see my exact problem addressed, but I definitely could have missed them!

Without seeing some graphs we can't really guess... after we see the graphs we'll know a lot more.

For sharing here, SleepHQ is the best... it's a free website where your data is stored 'in the cloud', you can share a night (or your entire account!) here with just a link. www.sleephq.com It's free!

For home use we use Oscar www.sleepfiles.com/oscar this is also free, but it's an app that runs on your PC or Mac. The data is easier to view without having to use a browser... but for sharing SHQ is king.

You probably already have an SD card in your machine. If you have an SD card reader for your PC (or phone!) you can upload the card to SleepHQ and share a night here. It may take a long time for the first upload if you've been a 10-year patient... same machine? I have a machine that ran 22,500 hours and is still going strong with a new motor... these are great machines! If you don't have an SD card then any old camera card etc will work great... just get one below 32gig at the drugstore Walmart etc. Sleep a night on the card, then upload to SHQ... then share a link here. There are lots of YouTube videos on this if you look.

Anyway, welcome, we'll get you fixed up, lots of help available here.

Thank you very much for answering! My machine doesn't have a card in it, but I am going to get one this week and will get the software etc. Again, thank you for responding and the encouragement, I know I'm not receiving the same results I did before with my machine. Excited to get more perspectives.

'Did before'? So the settings haven't changed but your results have? That's interesting, it's a pity we don't have SD card data from when you were doing better... but the recent graphs will tell the tale I'm sure.
