Why can't I attach files to my post?

Why can't I attach files to my post?

Hi,
I've just joined and written out a long post with questions about my BIPAP, only to find out I can't attach the necessary photos of my Oscar waveforms.
Apparently I can't attach files yet because I'm a new user (only created my account today). The FAQ page said to contact the board admins to request permission to do so, so I went on her profile but there's no message icon. Pretty annoying. How do I contact her? Do I have to comment on a bunch of posts before I'm allowed to post photos? Or wait a period of time?
I really need to post about my flow lims on here and get advice ASAP
