New to CPAP, CA is high?

Post by iamJB » Sun Mar 24, 2024 7:02 pm

Hi,
I received my machine a few days ago (Airsense 11 AutoSet with P10 nasal mask). My doctor basically prescribed me the machine and said there won't be any follow up, machine will be set for you. In the 3 days I've used it (Thurs, Fri, Sat), my AHI went were 3.07, 5.30, 2.65. I turned off EPR just to test on Sat. I don't know how to read OSCAR, although I noticed my CA was high and need help adjusting the settings. Please help!

Your CAs/centrals aren't too numerous. An occasional central is normal even if it is a real asleep central and I am betting that yours aren't.

But read this thread and pay special attention to my instructive posts.

Thanks
I'll keep monitoring for now and check my sleep quality. It feels like I'm getting decent sleep, dreaming more, etc. I usually get up once a night to go pee, but that's because I take a water pill med in the evening. Also, seems like people new to CPAP therapy do get some CAs and eventually have it reduced over time. Again, I'll keep monitoring and come back here and see if there's a setting I need to update or change.
