Need advice on new machine

Post by EO_123 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 1:31 pm

I have been re prescribed a cpap machine for sleep apnea. I used a cpap around 2011-2013 and then had difficulty tolerating it. I've cone full circle and it's time for another machine. The last one was Resmed. I learned A LOT from this group. I know DME companies are crooks and it matters what you get. What are the new machines like? What models should I consider to assure I'm not being ripped off? Thanks in advance!

If you are self-managing, using OSCAR, and don't need to send your data electronicly, get a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet (card-to-cloud).

If you need to send your data to care providers or insurance get a ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet.

FWIW:
'The Resmed10 Autosense also sends data to care providers.

Virtally all new Air10s no longer have modems.

Used Air10s are prohibitely difficult to change their associated user

CPAP dot com has the C2C for 450USD... the normal 4G for 960USD.

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... t-humidair
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... with-modem

That's an expensive modem for what you get. Used AS10's with 5khours are going for 300USD in my area... no guarantee on modem type etc.

Get the C2C if you are paying for it... and you don't have to show monthly compliance. Just take the SD card into your doctor when you visit. Love my AS10's, have two of them.
