Why do I sleep so long?
Cause your sleep quality sucks.
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

Unfortunately, I keep getting an error:
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached. It showed mostly ca instead of oa. I believe that was a function of the pressure.

I take melatonin, and niacin at bedtime and metoprotol succ (beta blocker),Tylenol, Gabapentin and Celebrex.
I sincerely appreciate all comments as to what I can do get better.

Try reducing your PS from 5 down to 4 and see if that affects the centrals.

Question 1: Why do I sleep so long?
Take a look at the side effects of the meds you listed. Fatigue and drowsiness are listed.
Is that all of the meds?

What time of day do you take the meds?
Not sure what you feel like at bed time but can you do w/o the melatonin? Can the dose be too much?

Scan and post the sleep study in it's entirety. Load and post some representative CPAP nights into SleepHQ.

This message board is not very conductive to posting attachments. In 4 days I have only been able to post one attachment and all the rest including the study get errors that the board is full.
I would like to get off Melatonin, but when I forget to take it, I lay awake until 2:30 am or so, then go take it. They are 5mg and thought I would cut them into 1/4 size and see if 1 1/4 mg would be better!

I will try to post the sleep study on another host and see if that works better. The main thing I noticed about the sleep study is that it had a lot of REM sleep and Central Apneas. The sleep doctor prescribed an an auto CPAP which I have been using for the last 15 or so years. I just got an auto bilevel and it is SOOOO much easier to breathe than the CPAP. The numbers seem to be coming down, but after a week or so I should know how much. By the way what is SleepHQ. I have been using OSCAR and Sleepyhead before that?

Yeah there's a post in the announcements that says you can't do that.

It would take time and determination but I think you would have to wean yourself down below 1mg. Maybe even buying some 1mg to cut in half later on? If you are open to it.

afaik when you take too much melatonin your body stops making it.

Good Luck and Good Sleep

Thanks for this information. I cut my 5 mg pills in 4 pieces and will see if that works or not. My previous experience is that I can not sleep at all until morning, so weaning my be necessary!
Also tried to open an account on Imgur only to find that they are now sending a 7 digit number to your cellphone every time you log in. Unfortunately, they must be using Verizon as I could not get a number from them to login. Probably my fault for living in a rural area, but I have a 1 gigabyte internet speed, though. Any suggestions on using Wi-Fi instead of Cellular!!!!! Cellular sucks in many rural areas.
