OK, I guess I was mistaken. I thought this forum has a bookmarks feature and that is what I was asking about. Some forums that I use have a bookmark feature within the forum, which is nice so you can keep your computer bookmarks under control.

I found out how to bookmark on this site. Go the the last post and where is says reply and print, just below is a wrench, left click on that and you will see a drop down box with options and one is Bookmark Topic.

Short on time so I just did a quick glance at the sleep studies and I will look more closely tomorrow.

Questions....

Have you talked to your doctor about the PLMD results?
If not...you need to because those leg movements could be a factor in your crappy sleep quality.

How are you feeling during the day?

How would you rate your sleep quality?

I believe this is the key to better sleep... get off your back as much as possible. Trying to sleep on your back is going to drive your pressures very high. Just my opinion.

IMO that would depend upon the doctor.

I'd say the jury's still out on Yaroslav, and if the General Practice guy gets the Deer/Headlights Look when you ask "So what about them PLMs?" it might just be a waste of a co-pay.

Or make things a little worse.
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

I must admit I never really looked at those results mostly because I don't understand them. I will go back and read through them and see what I can understand. PLMD, no idea what that means, but I guess I will learn looking through the results.

I feel good during the day considering my other issues (PMR and knee issues)

It seems on days following a higher AHI I can dose off quicker if I sit down in a comfy chair.

I would not waste my time on seeing my GP on this. I go to a Pulmonary Group and below is what she said when I messaged her about my rise in my AHI.
I reviewed your last month compliance and data revealed average events 7.2 / hour. Mild leak noted. Are you noticing any leak, I recommend replacing mask and monitoring for any leak. You had severe sleep apnea, AHI 56 on your sleep study. I recommend continuing same pressure.

BTW....I don't know that I would spend much time trying to sleep on my side. From the sleep studies it's not like your OSA is significantly less when on your side. Non supine AHI is damn near the same as supine AHI in terms of diagnostic sleep study.
You can of course try but I don't know that it is going to make much difference. Sometimes trying to stay off our backs ends up causing more sleep problems than it fixes.

I did some looking at my sleep study reports and did see the leg movement study results. I am learning, thanks to you and this forum. Thanks for that link, I will look at it. Nothing was ever mentioned to me about that.
I am on Methotrexate for PMR and I get my blood checked every two months. So I have noticed a trend downward for red blood cell count, so I had my iron checked and it was normal.

Look up the side effects for Methotrexate.....tiredness and drowsiness are on the list.

You have this.....Polymyalgia rheumatica???
That also could be affecting sleep quality or maybe causing some discomfort which in turn affects sleep quality.

I think that the bulk of your OSA problem is probably adequately dealt with.
The elevated AHI at times...that is a symptom of not being asleep and not necessarily the cause of the not being asleep.

I think that you have more than one problem going on that can affect sleep quality.
Remember....the machine can only try to fix the airway problem. It can't do a damn thing for the other stuff you have going on.

You have a sleep quality problem for sure...now why??? That's unknown at this time but you have a few potential suspects.

Yes, Polymyalgia rheumatica, got it maybe a year after my hip replacement along with thin skin. Most of the time my arms and the top of my hands look like I have been in hand to hand combat. I was a millwright all my life and still like working with my hands fixing things and making things and so it is practically impossible to not get bruised even through gloves and sleeves I wear to protect my arms.

I do, by far feel better than pre CPAP machine. Before the machine I would dose off if I sat in a soft chair almost any time of day. Could not stay awake during a church service and just felt more tired during the day.

I will keep plugging away at this. Thankful for this site and you. I have learned much already, even learned I have another abnormality, limb movement. Still cannot understand why that was not mentioned. Growing old is an adventure not meant for sissies. Thank you again for your interest and help!
