With the pulse oximeter you should have received some software, perhaps a link to it somewhere. Get that installed and run a report and post it. Specifically, looking at Pulse Events (+/- 6 from baseline).

Sample:

I have the app on my phone. Not sure if software is available for my laptop since I run Linux.

Hello

I've been using my machine about a month now and am still on the fence about continuing.
But I'm glad to find a good forum for help.

glad to have you here! in the future, please start your own thread with any concerns you have or help you need. it gets difficult when two people in the same thread have questions regarding their therapy as it's easy to get confused as to which is which.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

I'm curious to get some opinions on last night's report...
Increasing minimum to 10 cmH2O improved a lot of stuff, but I'd try bumping it up a bit more to try to get those inspiratory waveforms to look a little better and reduce more arousals.
Rubicon, what's your opinion on last night?

IMO a lot of waveforms look good to acceptable. Adding another 0.5 - 1.0 cmH2O might pick up a few marginal breaths.

That said, don't be doing a Yossarian (see Yossarian-Snowden).

Overall I believe your sleep quality is still ferstunk. In trying to select a surrogate to quantify sleep (looking at the previously-mentioned Pulse Events might help), we might look at a parameter such as Minute Ventilation:

When the data is a nice straight line at about 6-8 L/M, that's good sleep. If the line is doing a lot of crap, then it's not. You've got a LOT of... not.

BTW you mentioned coffee. How much and when?
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

Mmmmm, coffee. I start at 6am and stop about 3pm.
It is my drink of choice. Straight black, no sugar.

Yeah well the half-life of caffeine is at least 5 hours.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean with this reference to Catch-22. I know of the book, but have never read it.

Happy one month later. Been a blur with all the holidays, a birthday, and work spooling up for me.

I feel like I slept pretty good last night, but I still seem to have some garbage in my graph.

I feel like I slept pretty good last night,
How do you or did you feel today in general?

And yes...same numerous arousal flagged events. Any luck in figuring out what causes the arousals?

I feel pretty much the same way everyday. Ready to get up when the alarm goes off at 5:30am, and I am pretty well alert all day. Don't get me wrong, I am tired at the end of the work day, but have no problem driving almost an hour home. By 9pm, I'm ready to mask up and recharge the battery.

You know until you can figure out what causes the arousals then you may just have to accept what you have right now.
I don't have any miracles in my little bag of tricks. Sorry. I did see in another thread that you are on testosterone replacement therapy and have been for years.
It wouldn't be impossible for whatever testosterone drug you are taking to be a factor in the poor sleep quality.....i.e the arousals.

I suppose it is possible, but I seem to roll around quite a bit because the arm/shoulder I'm laying on gets mad at me.

I'm on a therapeutic level of testosterone. It seems the negative effects are noted on high doses, and my dosing is fairly minimal.
