Hello, New member here.
I have an airsense 10 and i believe its close to the end of its life as the motor is super loud and i notice that every once in a while I'm getting a lot of pressure drop. I found out that I'm out of warranty and there is nothing they can do for me at place that helped me at the start of my CPAP journey ( medigas here in Canada). they gave me the option to buy another machine at over $1000. Unfortunately that is not an option for me financially at this time. I was lucky to be gifted another machine. Its a dream station but I'm not sure how to set up my numbers and mask type. I tried searching the internet but all I'm seeing is people switching the other way. from dreamstation to airsense.
On my airsense I'm starting with a 7 and then after some time it ramps up to 17 and that is what has been dialed in as the proper setting that is the most effective and comfortable I'm also using a nasal mask that sits under my nose and not in it. Now on the dreamstation i dont understand how to set these numbers as its not as straight forward and for mask type its just got numbers.
I got into the menu to change my numbers and when i tested it 17 took my breath away. I'm really hoping that someone can help me before its time for bed lol. I know I'm probably not giving the most information but if anyone is willing to take a stab at helping me i can try my best at providing more information that might be useful that I may not know is needed.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Re: Switching Machines and Need help before bed time.
I wonder if the feeling of 17 cm being just "too much" with the dreamstation might be related to the exhale relief (EPR) that you may have been using with the ResMed machine.
Were you using EPR? If so, at what setting.
The DreamStation offers a form of exhale relief but it doesn't work exactly like ResMed's EPR works.
It's called "Flex" and may offer either A Flex or C Flex.
Play with A Flex settings to see if it helps at all with tolerating your pressures.
If you have already done that then I don't have anything else to offer other than using OSCAR to figure out if you really need that 17 cm after all this time.

Re: Switching Machines and Need help before bed time.
thank you for your quick reply. ive seen some posts talking about oscar. would you be able to point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to set up and use oscar as a new user.
with what you said i would be curious if you had some sort of suggestion on how to set up the numbers properly. like i stated that airsense just had ramp up which was a lower pressure before i fell asleep and then it would go to the higher pressure. im not sure how to set up something like that to even test the numbers on the dreamstation.
