Post by kasper » Thu Sep 14, 2023 2:53 pm

:) Hello everyone, I have a Resmed AirCurve 10 Vauto with a full face mask. Severe OSA. I'm trying to improve my events with little leakage and to sleep with few awakenings due to the mask. My settings are :

VAUTO
MAX IPAP 11.0
MIN EPAP 6.0
PS 3
TI MAX 2.7S
TI MIN 2.0S
TRIGGER HIGH
CYCLE HIGH
START EPAP 6.0
HUMIDITY 6
MASK FF
TUBE SLIMLINE
ESSENTIALS PLUS

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks again.

welcome to the zoo!

please read and follow the directions here-

because we don't all have the same sleep apnea. sleep apnea is made up of several events. those events are close to unique to each individual.

so we need to see what events you are having in order to advise you.

once you have the (free) oscar software, you can start posting graphs right here in this thread. and that will give us some idea as to what your settings need to be to help optimize your therapy.

if you have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to ask.

good luck!

Zonker is correct. Members will need to see your efficacy data from OSCAR (or SleepHQ.com for the less computer-technically inclined) to make any recommendations regarding machine settings.

In the meantime,

find your mask model on youtube and watch some videos about fitting and adjusting. This can be a big help with leak prevention and comfort.

About your settings, do you really need a humidity setting of 6? The humidifier is designed to keep parts of the airway from drying. You could try turning it down a notch to see what happens. If you get to the point where there is some airway dryness, turn the humidifier back up a notch. Humidity levels are a personal matter. Trial and error can help find the best settings for YOU.

Welcome!
