Transend 2 auto cpap memory battery

Post by brad893 » Fri Aug 18, 2023 1:23 am

Would any one have the knowledge to know if the Transcend 2 auto uses a internal lithium battery to save the settings and how long is this battery good for . My concern is if this is the case how long is its service life and is it serviceable and i would assume the cpap would fail to operate with a dead memory battery .

I know of no cpap that does not have an internal battery to power memory and a clock.
Lifespan is variable, depending on the manufacturer.

When (if) the internal battery dies, you can't assume that the machine will start failing. What happens with a lot of devices that require inbternal batteries for memory and RTC; they work just fine, but when they lose power they need to be configured again.

rtc=real time clock?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

We would hope that the programming is on non volatile memory;
while we can expect that recently added data might be on volatile storage.
Dirty trick to put the system programming on memory that goes "phhhht!" when a $3 battery dies.

So far I have avoided the dreaded Z1 error code. I believe it may be due to the fact I keep it powered up most of the time in my camper. Never been an issue with my non-travel CPAPs, also kept powered up.
