NIH research program interview

Hi Everyone!

I'm leading research and development of a new diagnostic technology that we hope will help improve management of OSA therapies. As part of our research funding from the US National Institutes of Health, we are conducting some research to better understand OSA management and issues faced by patients. Given the diverse experiences and perspectives here, we would love to speak with anyone who has a few minutes to help us out. The discussion should only take about ~15-20 min for some general questions about your experiences with OSA!

Like, this researcher doesn't even know there's a major difference between diagnosing and managing the therapy.

The difference here, is that our "diagnostic" will provide both standard diagnostic metrics (i.e. AHI) AND new data from ultrasound images that may help treatment selection and titration based on the location and pattern of obstruction within an individual's airway. This type of assessment has been shown, with other techniques, to impact decisions around CPAP, oral appliances, implants, and multiple surgeries. I would be happy to expand on this, with references, if there is interest!

To be clear, we would only ask a few questions and would NOT ask for any personal information other than general details about your history with OSA. The whole discussion can be as anonymous as you like!
