Resmed Airsense 10 alarm clock??

Post by swjones214 » Sun May 21, 2023 7:37 am

Weird thing happening during the last week. At roughly 7:00 AM each morning for the last week, my Airsense 10 starts beeping just like an alarm clock. Today was the first time I’ve heard it because I’m generally out the door at 5:30. It went off this morning, and I thought it was my wife’s alarm clock, but apparently its the Airsense 10; she came out of the bathroom as it was going off and told me it had been happening since last Monday. Does the Airsense 10 even have an alarm clock? I’m baffled on this. Keep in mind, this is the same Airsense 10 I’ve had since 2019, never heard anything until today. Thx!!

No.
The AirSense 10 does not have an alarm clock.

I don't know what you heard, but (if it was an electronic sound) it wasn't your AirSense.

I particularly like the thread from here where the person was perplexed that the Airsense 10 kept beeping after being unplugged, and finally figured out that it was their alarm clock.

Why does everyone always blame the CPAP for everything?

It might be hearing loss on one side--you can hear, but the direction is a mystery.
Get thee to an audiologist--before tinnitus sets in.
That stuff is permanent--and a major pain.

Actually, even if one has perfect hearing on both sides, you can't tell where a pure tone is coming from.

So, what kind of warning do they suggest for deaf people?
Strobe lights?
Or compressed air poofers?

Most 'modernish' constriction equipment has strobes, yes.

Wow....people simply cannot provide positive serious feedback in these forums. Making jokes out of serious questions.

To piggy back the original post almost one year ago....I have the same exact experience with my AirSense 10. Last night it started beeping really loud. It jolted me and my husband from a sound sleep. It was weird. I have had this machine for 2 months and have never had this happen before. I immediately turned it off and then removed my mask. Shortly after the first beep, it happened again with my mask off. I did however notice that the machine was running when the mask was not on....which leads me to believe, the beep is from a severe mask leak. Only guessing of course. Not sure what else it can be. Tonight....I will give it another try.

It beats me why anyone should waste their time posting anything those types of forums, instead of looking for the ones where people post serious replies to serious questions.

Where is this serious question you're so concerned about?

If there's an alarm coming from the machine it's most likely the leak alert.

The very first response (mine) was a serious response. The original poster ignored it and never came back.

The AirSense 10 models, don't have a leak alert audible sound, the AirCurve 10 models do.

If it's an AirCurve, in Clinical Mode / Options / Disable Leak Alert
