Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reduce the loudness of my Philips Respironics Comfort Gel Blue Nasal Cpap mask as it is very comfortable and doesn't leak for me at all however the mask exhaust air is very loud and I need to see if that can be fixed otherwise I will not be able to use this mask which will be very unfortunate for me. Please help if you can.

This may not help, but part of their marketing materials says,
The mask also gets 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. To achieve a peaceful night of quiet sleep, the ComfortGel Blue's angled exhalation micro ports direct exhaled air out and away from you and your partner, ...

I loved that mask!
It was the only full face mask I could stand.
(And then the DME stopped ordering the cushions for me.)
Yes, it can be a bit noisy, but a noise generator can help.
Even a little fan in the room--until you get used to it.
That so totally happens!
We live a block away from a busy rail corridor, and I have gotten
so used to the sound that I slept through a lightning strike 50' from the house.

Thank you for replying I used to live in New York for 40 years before moving to the Illinois suburbs in New York I lived underneath the elevated train which was very loud and I got used to it and had no problem sleeping through the noise however here in the Chicago suburbs it's a different game all together but I'm going to try this mess for a while and see if I can get used to the sound if not I will have to look elsewhere for something else

Another way to acclimate to a sound is to listen to it.
Weird, but it works for tinnitus--can't get rid of that.

Hi again,
I just wanted to say that I messed up and that's why this mask was making a lot of noise when I used it. It apparently was because I did not snap the mask on the frame properly and that's why it was making so much noise thank goodness for YouTube I found someone who posted a similar situation and showed how it was making noise and showed me that I had to snap it back on properly boy do I feel silly
