I don't know if I am reading these wrong? How can you have an OSA of 90 seconds? Does that mean I "stopped breathing" (or had a very low breathing rate) for 90 seconds? Or is it something else?
Click on the Events tab on the left of your PC display. It will show you a list of all events, the type and the length.
I don't know where you are seeing the "pauses". What is concerning is the respiratory rate of 50. Is that bad data? If you were breathing that fast, surely you would be awake and aware. It's an abnormally high rate. Maybe another member can comment. I tend to think it's a bug in the program, but I don't remember anyone reporting this before.

Hi Chicago Granny,
The "pauses" are in the Flow Rate (see attached). Have you seen things like this before?
I just don't know if my settings are correct -- I used the same settings a few days ago and didn't get those pauses, or the cluster of events. Not sure how to improve my therapy to erase such pauses and events!

Also, as for the respiratory rate of 50, that is probably because i was awake.

I don't see how you can breathe that fast. It's like a large, hot canine panting rapidly.
Someone else should enlighten us.

1....that 50 RR is a 95% number. Everyone remember the definition of a 95% number.....at or below that number for 95% of the night. Would need to look at the RR graph itself to see just how much time the high RR actually happened.
2....zooming in on the flow rate at the times where RR rate was 50 might show that for short periods of time the machine was seeing cardioballistic artifact causing the RR rate to most likely double. If that's the case it's no big deal.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thanks for that. I see the RR of 50 and it is the same in APAP mode:

I don't think i am actually breathing that fast; but i am asleep so i can't tell.
I switched my therapy back to APAP from CPAP mode last night and the AHI improved.
I don't know how to add a "interactive" image from OSCAR. Can you help me do that, rather than adding static images in Imagur?

On the data you posted, that RR = 50 is the
maximum RR for the night.
Your
median RR is listed as a very reasonable 17.8. So for at least half the night, your RR was less than or equal to 17.8.
You didn't post the RR graph. And that would be useful. If your RR graph is seldom above 20, then I wouldn't worry too much about the 95% and maximum numbers for the RR rate. Or I'd follow Pugsy's suggestion and zoom in to see if the machine is double counting a bunch of breaths due to something called a cardioballistic artifact.

No way of posting interactive images from OSCAR.
You can post interactive images when you use SleepHQ and create a public link to a specific night.
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I don't understand some of these comments about the RR. If you look at his detail (
https://imgur.com/a/97BSizx ), it would appear he had an RR near 50 for about 50 consecutive minutes.
Cardioballistic artifacts could easily explain the RR elevation and needs to be ruled in or out before further worrying about the RR rate elevations.
Need zoomed in flow rate graphs to know for sure.
