Yeah, my experience as well in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. afaik - insurance usu. wants compliance on the equipment they are paying for. And you should be able to prove that when you return to the US by the data in your cpap if there is a loss of signal while away.
Make sure your doc knows you are traveling.
OR you could check with your insurance to see if they would really mind IF you didn't begin compliance until you return? then use the mini while away?
