I started out my day this morning by grumpily writing an email refusing to do fact-check work for a colleague who refused to format his PDFs properly. Life is too short for that.

I had a cranky boss.
We got more done when he took the day off.

I should probably take more days off myself, to allow the people I work with to be more productive. After this fourth year of pandemic, I may have enough vacation time saved up to take off a half a year. That should make everyone happy.

I'm sorry but when I was in my "grumpy bear" moods, I was never productive, ever. That article looks like it was written with the conclusion predating the study. Poppycock, or balderdash I say.

I wasn't able to poke any holes in the article about the study because I simply wasn't feeling grumpy enough.
But I assume maybe there
could be something to the thought that active happiness could interfere with being particularly critical and negative.
Some of the grumpy ones here at cpaptalk.com seem to do very well with details of therapy, so maybe having one or two moody people around makes this forum better?
After all, we can't all be "shiny happy people holding hands," right?:
