I now hesitate to ask other questions on the forum since the evidence is that most don't answer the questions that are asked.
The human body and health are very complicated matters. If all questions asked here were given straightforward answers without any consideration of the context, this forum would not be the big success it is.

You should be glad the answers you received referred to the bigger context.
Not to nitpick, but I didn't say that and don't want anyone thinking I did.
Oops. My apologies. Thanks for pointing this out. I must have hit the wrong quote box. I've now corrected the post.

RATS! And I was just going to make a post recommending the use of nuclear waste to disinfect it. Darn, darn, double-darn!!!

Oh well. I'll just have to wait until the next time this sort of thing comes up. Like maybe later on today.

I still prefer the thermal lance--but be careful not to point it at SoClean spammers.
That could be unlawful . .

You can but an adapter and clean the mask and tubing in the soclean 2 without connecting it to you dreamstation 2 and void the warranty. You just need to disconnect the tubing and hook it to the adapter. So clean manual says clean with a damp cloth. I would use a clorox wipe and leave it open to dry and evaporate.

but an adapter
There can still be residual ozone in the tube and the mask that can damage your lungs.

Not to mention prematurely aging the hose and the mask. Thus causing unnecessary early replacement.

and clean
It doesn't clean anything.

Please stop using it for your own health and for your wallet's sake.

Reasoning is useless in this case.
Life is too short to waste time trying to steer lemmings away from the sea.
Let them drown--something for the sharks to eat.

I think sometimes people spend good money on an item, thinking it is good and helpful and will improve their lives like this soclean owner.
Sometimes they seek only opinions that support their own beliefs to justify that they spent that good money to begin with. (support bias)

Unfortunately this poster was probably put immediately into defensive mode upon asking the question. So many here in an effort to help the poster keep healthy and not destroy and degrade their machine, parts and health were unable to get through with warnings of space lasers and punting the soclean for a field goal.

Alas, the message did not get through even though everyone here was well intentioned and trying to help. Maybe instead of googling a cpap support board to find an answer, the OP will google "how do I clean the interior of a Soclean2" instead. But then they would have missed this opportunity to store the knowledge from an entire group of seasoned veterans such as yourself to avoid this product completely in the future.

That doesn't make them irredeemable. Call me an optimist though.
