Reusing Pur-Sleep Diffusion Pads

Post by greyhound » Fri Mar 23, 2007 7:20 am

Ok. We've had lots of discussions in the past about how often we clean our cpap equipment and change the water in our humidifiers. But how about the diffusion pads that some of us are using with our cpap/aroma therapy.

Are you guys using the diffusion pads just once, using the same pad and oil (perhaps, with a small "refill") a second day, and/or cleaning the diffusion pads and reusing them.

Personally I "refill" each night, unless I'm changing scents. I very seldom use any particular scent more than three nights.

I reuse my pads for about 4 nights or so in a row and then I wash them out with soap and hot water and let them air dry before using them again.

ooh i havent tried washing them. i've washed out the diffuser but not the pads, guess i just figured they would fall apart. Right now i'm using the same pad with the same scent, just adding a refill drop or two every night and have been fine this week with that. I only change pads if i change scents. I also wash the diffuser between scents.

gonna have to try washing the pads..thanks!

I just keep reusing them and adding oil everyother night. when I change scents I just take the previous pad along with that scents bottle and put them together in a baggy and when ready will reuse them again.

Gee, I never thought about washing the diffuser! I will use one pad for two nights (since I now am the proud owner of about 150 of those little things! )

Bret, would washing the diffuser actually make a difference in how the scents are smelled? Just curious.

It may make a difference when changing scents. There would be some residual of the old one in the diffuser. It's easy to wash (warm, soapy water). But I don't usually bother.
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

Idon't bother either as the newer scent usually takes over quickly.
