Re: Friendly reminder
So far, not as much smoke from Kansas burnoff compared to years past;
Nebraska is a tiny bit clearer this year.
Or maybe Kansas is waiting for the wind to shift before they burn the prairie.
They do it every year--right when the wind shifts towards Nebraska.

Re: Friendly reminder
We are hit hard this year over 19,000 acres burned up near Flagstaff another 9,000 + near Prescott. Also some down south near Bisbee and Mexico.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 10:01 pmSo far, not as much smoke from Kansas burnoff compared to years past;

Re: Friendly reminder
Just guessing; but the fires in AZ are mostly not intentional-lightning or smokers.
Kansas sets fire to the prairie ON PURPOSE.
The range fire is southern Nebraska, where a first responder was killed,
started near a road--"Unknown cause"--
--some half-wit "missed" the ashtray, no doubt.

I think this last one was a truck dragging chains. *sigh*. You would think people would learn.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 6:49 amJust guessing; but the fires in AZ are mostly not intentional-lightning or smokers.

I'm going to delete the pic now hopefully everyone had a chance to see it. I don't want to take room away from someone posting charts.
