Post by goerge » Sat Apr 30, 2022 11:03 am

Hi, I am the only one who had breathing problems during the day as a result of using the cipap in the night, what happens to me is that after I wake up the body is normal that the cipap ventilate him and then it is weird for him to breathe alone and as a result i feel that if i dont breath the body not breath as well and the body just Takes small breaths to not suffocate, but not ordinary breaths

Welcome! I wonder if it would help you to know that when people are awake, their breathing is much less regular than when they are asleep. In other words, when we are awake, we may take some shallow breaths, or pause our breathing. This is OK.

I don't think using CPAP during the night would cause you to have problems with breathing during the day. But if you are worried about your day-time breathing, could you talk with your doctor about that? The doctor might be able to do some tests to make sure you that you are breathing fine.

Do you think you could buy a recording oximeter? It fits onto your finger. This would be a simple way for you to make sure your breathing enough to maintain a good oxygen level in your blood.

You need to find something else to worry about when you're awake... talk to someone on the phone, listen to TV, do some work and don't focus on your breathing.

My OSA was very severe before treatment. After I started successful treatment with PAP and started to heal, I often had the sensation during the day that my breathing was off. In my case because I had data to see how successful my PAP therapy was, I considered that feeling to be an indication of success. However, if it had concerned me, I would have spoken to my doctor about it.
The people who confuse "entomology" and "etymology" really bug me beyond words.
