do you think P10 more suitable for me than FFM?
At this point most definitely yes. The difference in leak rates is night and day.
Even if you did do a little mouth breathing leaking it's hugely less than the massive FFM leaks.

If you are seeing someone to help with masks tomorrow....see if they will show you the ResMed AirFit N30 nasal cushion mask.
It's silent like the P10 and uses same headgear as P10 but much more forgiving in the comfort department than the P10 is if you are having comfort issues with the P10. Plus it should be okay with facial hair as well.
I think it is worth trying. I think with your facial hair you should be putting more effort in a nasal sort of interface.

The N30 is essentially the P10 but without the nasal pillow part which can be uncomfortable for some people.
Super comfortable and even if it moves a little bit and leaks.....no where near what you are getting now for leaks with the FFM.

Thanks Pugsy for your help! N20 available from supplier in Ireland where I live, N30 can be bought from European website. N30 would be better for me than N20?

Two totally different masks. One is over the nose and the other is under the nose.

N20

N30
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... h-headgear

I have never see or used the N20 because I simply don't like anything on my nose like that.
Have no desire to try the N20 at all.

Now I did give the N30 a month long trial in Jan of this year and for me to use any mask in a trial for a month means I liked it.

So I can't comment on the N20 since no personal experience but I just imagine anything would be better than current results with the FFM.
Now the P10...I don't understand what your problem with it might be but sometimes nasal pillow masks just aren't someone's cup of tea. No different than me and my aversion to any mask that goes over the nose like the N20.
One man's treasure is another man's trash sort of thing.

It's painfully obvious the FFM is failing miserably....and with facial hair that creates another obstacle BUT there are lots of nasal masks out there that aren't hindered by the facial hair nearly as much.
Just bear in mind that anyplace on the face where the silicone has to touch any hair....that's going to potentially create a leak situation.

If they will just give you a N20....by all means give it a try and see how it works out. It might work out great. It might not....but that's the way it is with all masks.

Bought N30 nasal cradle to replace old F20, used with pressure 11, max 12. It's ok for couple of hours, after that internal nostrils get irritated by airflow. Probably have to train myself to get used to this.
Meanwhile thinking about buying another mask to alternate - FFM or N20 or similar. My problems with current F20 FFM are a) facial hair; and even more important b) I don't like breathing and rebreathing my own hot humid air (feel like I am in the tropical jungle). A bit of Mask untightening helps, but causes leaks.
CPAP heat is off, use a fan blowing on me. Ice cubes in humidifier help but only for couple of hours. Any advice what mask would be suitable to reduce rebreathing effect? Vitera ad mentioned breathability, not sure how true it is.

I have the N-20. I am female so no facial hair so I can't speak to that but I do live in Arizona where it is super hot most of the time. The N-20 vents out the front right at the elbow there is no feeling for me of rebreathing air. It is a pain for my poor husband who gets blasted with the air whenever I am facing him.

Thanks for your comment. My masks have diffuser with small vents, while N20 vents seems to be bigger, maybe this will solve rebreathing effect
