Auto CPAP vs BiPAP with pressure support 0

Post by void » Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:24 am

I got Resmed Aircurve 10VAuto.
1. If I set Vauto mode and pressure support = 0, EPAP=4, IPAP=15, Does it operate exactly like the Auto CPAP (Airsense 10) with pressure range from 4 to 15?
2. Do you think that the 2 machines should operate the same with same pressures range, if centrals occur?

1. Yes.....as long as you aren't using EPR on the AutoSet.
2. Don't really understand your question but if you mean "will the VAuto do anything to address any centrals" then the answer is no.

The VAuto will do everything an autoset will do, and more, you can program it to act like four different machines.

so yes, MinIPAP 4, MaxIPAP 15, PS 0 is the same as an autoset of min 4, max 15, epr off.

Those are likely inadequate settings though.
