I am encountering a puzzling problem. Below the Daily View is the Overview where I labeled where Dream Station stops and Air Senses picks up. For years, my 95% has hovered around 9 psi with the Dream Station. I never had large leak events. After starting Air Sense 11, I am getting extreme swings in pressure and large leak rates. The mask I am using is the same as with the Dream Station. Replacing the cushion does not change anything.
Note the AHI this night was 0.00. What would the machine be responding to? The leaks last only seconds. I pass the leak test and the machine reported "the mask seal was great last night."

Flow limitations.

Re: Sudden increase in pressures and mask leaks
When the flow of air from the machine is restricted, it means there is an airway blockage and the machine will increase the pressure to open the airway. That's what a CPAP is supposed to do.

Re: Sudden increase in pressures and mask leaks
your airway is closing off, the machine is doing it's job (something the dreamstation was unable to do because it isn't programmed as well) to try and keep your airway open.Whiskey-Romeo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 7:04 pmI do not know what that means. Thanks pudgsy,Lsat, Palerider,
This a big change for me. I looked at the DS data and think how do I get such good numbers, yet get in consistent sleep results. The DS machine was so quiet at those psi’s. But I have noticed, so far, very consistent good sleep results. The downside is the noise at the higher pressures. My wife has migraines and any noise can trigger them. We use earplugs.
Re: Sudden increase in pressures and mask leaks
Your minimum pressure is wayyy too low for your needs, you'd probably be much closer with a min of 11.Whiskey-Romeo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:49 amThis a big change for me. If your mask doesn't have a diffused vent, then either fabricating a vent for your mask, or switching to a mask with a diffused vent would likely quiet thing down somewhat.
