Doing the happy dance.
After 8 months, the doctor finally ordered me an ASV.
Actually, the doctor wanted to order an Auto BiPap, but I pushed back because I have centrals. The doctor tried to convince me, to no avail, that this is the right machine for me. Finally, she said she was going to have someone from the DME call me to alleviate my concerns. But when she called them, they told her she needed to get me the ASV. So she signed the order. DME just called to say they will have it here asap.
Happy happy happy!

Wow, that is wonderful ! Such great news for you and especially that your DME can get it to you asap - Congratulations!
(btw my new ASV has been on order with my DME for a few weeks now, but they told me that it may take a very long time like several months for me to get it - I am hoping for a suddenly that it will come much quicker)

If that were me, I would be looking for another doc. I prefer a pulmonologist who specializes in sleep.

Wahoo’d too soon.
The overseeing doctor said no to the ASV even after the sleep therapist said yes and ordered it. Apparently you need an EKG to make sure your heart can handle it.
And I had to have another sleep study to set the levels for an S/T. It went well and I hope you have my own S/T in the coming weeks.
