I just bought this machine last night on CL. Brand new in a sealed box with 0 hours. It is a model DSX1130H11C. The Couple I got it from said they paid $3400 for it new? They bought the machine and then he had surgery to address his apneas so threw it in the closest for 2 years.
Anyway, my broken machine is a DSX700H11 which did a good job for me. The main board burned up, however. The new AVAPC BI-Pap has a lot more settings and I am not sure where to even start. I matched the IPAP and EPAP with my old machine, 11 and 7. But there are all thes modes on the new machine S, ST, T, and PC. I have it in "S" mode as I write. The other thing is my AHI for one night is 38.3. The AHI on my older 700 series was ranging for 1.1 to 2.7. So 38.3 is not what I expected. I think it would be great if I could utilize the extra features in this machine, especially if they could help me sleep.
So why don't I get help from my Sleep Doctor? Well, She wanted to sell me a machine for several thousand dollars and won't assist with therapy settings on a machine that was purchased from a non-Mdeical resource. Most Doctors here are that way.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Help on Dreamstation Bi-Pap AVAPS
Did you check to see if this machine is part of the recall of Respironics machines?
